Announcement Archive ... outdated announcements are listed
here. A11:
There will be no class on Friday, 3/9. A10:
The final exam is Monday, 3/12, at 8:30 am.
The exam is comprehensive, but will be weighted a bit more heavily
towards new topics since the 2nd midterm.
A list of new topics since the 2nd midterm is posted on the course
calendar. Remember
that daylight savings time starts on Sunday 3/11. Be sure to set your clock ahead one hour! A. 9:
Monday 2/19 is a university holiday.
No classes will be held that day.
If you normally attend lab on Mondays, you should go to one of the
Tuesday labs this week. The afternoon
ones have more seats available, so they are a better bet if you have a
choice. A. 8:
Reminder: The second midterm exam will be held in class, Friday Feb. 16. The exam will cover only new material since
the first midterm. A set of review
questions and answers is now available, linked off the course calendar. A. 7:
Because of a scheduling conflict, section AA (TTH 9:30) will meet in OUGL 102
on Thursdays Feb. 8 and Feb. 15 only.
It will be in the regular OUGL 001 lab the rest of the time. A. 6:
Reminder: The first midterm exam is in class on Friday, Jan. 26. A selection of review questions and answers
are available on the course calendar.
Sections on Jan. 24 and 25 will be review for the exam. A. 5:
(Textbook) As of Friday night, 1/12, the UW bookstore had at least a dozen copies
of the book on the shelf. Pick up a
copy if you haven’t gotten one yet. A. 4:
Reminder: there is no class on Monday, January 15. If you normally attend lab
on Monday, you should plan on attending one of the labs on Tuesday, January
16 to make up the missing day. The early lab in OUGL 001 has a limited number
of seats, so if you have a choice you might try one of the other, later ones
in MGH 030. A. 3:
(Textbook) As of Sunday 1/7, the UW bookstore still does not have copies on
the shelves. They are expecting about
40 copies shortly, but 36 people have already reserved a copy. If you want a copy and haven’t reserved one
already, it sounds like it would be best to reserve one as soon as you can. A. 2:
(Textbook) It looks like the UW bookstore has run out of the Fluency book.
Watch for information here as we learn more. But in the meanwhile, we won't
have any quizzes until they are available to everyone. (But do keep reading
if you have a copy!) Update 1/4 3pm:
The bookstore says new copies will be in “by Monday”. Please keep checking. A. 1:
Section AA (TTh 9:30) has been moved to OUGL 001 for the quarter. A. 0:
