This course is a chance to look under the hood and understand what you can do with some imagination combined with all the various computer and network tools that we have available today. We'll look at how the Internet works, how the various computers connected to the net talk to each other, and investigate some of the many software applications available on all these machines. Never before has there been such a great tool for exploring and communicating ideas, and we'll investigate some of the interesting facets of information technology that make it possible.

The official theme of the course is Skills, Concepts, and Capabilities. This means "use it, understand it, and enjoy it!"
