Introduction

This assignment is designed to help you become oriented in the course, its website, and various benefits provided to you by the University of Washington—many of which you will use throughout the quarter. Using the course website as a starting point, find the answers to the following questions. 

 

You are free to discuss this assignment on the class Bulletin Board -- short of giving away the answers, please! This assignment is not worth a large part of your grade.  HOWEVER, you will be held responsible for knowing where to find the information that is requested in this assignment as it will be valuable to you throughout the quarter.

Objectives 

To Submit

Submit a hard copy of your answers, along with the full, original questions, in

class on Wednesday, January 7th.

2.       What is the class web page address (URL)?

 

 

3.       Secret message #1 can be found here.  What's the message?  [Try this on

your home computer if you have one. If your browser complains, it means your

computer is missing a free piece of software.  Figure out what it is and obtain

it for your home computer.  It will be important for the course!]

 

 

 

 

4.       Give the web address of 3 helpful web pages listed on the class web site.  These

are pages that will aid you in the completion of coursework.
