Selected Topics in Computer Security

This course surveys some of the hot topics in the field of computer
security. Topics may include: usability; DRM; electronic voting;
security for ubiquitous devices, including RFIDs; phishing;
spyware; botnets; information leakage, fingerprinting, and
sidechannel attacks; biometrics; and methods for involving humans
in security protocols (like CAPTCHAs). Since security involves a
delicate balance between attacker and defender, we will study these
topics from both sides of the security arms race.
