A table with mixed spheres, on the edge of grand canyon. Rendering time took approx. 50 min, shooting 256 rays per pixel. Interesting features of the image: - The glossy reflections on the table, the soft shadows of the spheres and the camera depth of field, were all created with distribution ray tracing. - The background and reflections of the metal balls is achieved with an environment map of grand canyon. - The textures for the three spheres on the left was created procedurally by combining and manipulating many perlin noise functions. - The spheres are using bump maps to add extra details to their surfaces.
