Catalog Description: Formal approaches to distributed computing problems. Topics vary, but typically include models of distributed computing, agreement problems, impossibility results, mutual exclusion protocols, concurrent reading while writing protocols, knowledge analysis of protocols, and distributed algorithms.
Prerequisites: CSE major.
