Textbook

We will be using a draft of a book by Jon Kleinberg and Eva Tardos from Cornell University during the first 4-5 weeks of the quarter. It is available for purchase at the Communications Copy Center, which is in the basement of the Communications Building, room B042. The book costs approximately $25 (a student reports that it’s gone up to $36.50, so be prepared). Other books and handouts will be used later in the course.

Homework Assignments

Assignments will be handed out weekly, and will be due in class Wednesday. The assignments will also be posted below, so you can print them out. Your solutions can be handwritten or printed; if the former, please try to keep your handwriting as legible as possible.
