CSE 490S: Digital Sound Engineering

This course will survey various sound-processing and signal-processing techniques for synthesis, analysis, and feature extraction of sound. We will look at several well-known sound packages, and also survey some human-gesture sensing techniques that can be used for interaction and control of sound software and hardware.

This course will conclude with the planning of projects for the CSE 481 Sound Capstone to be offered the following quarter.

We will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays,10:30-11:50 p.m. in EEB 042.
Labs are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-5:20 in CSE 003E.
