Hadoop

Since we are running an older version of Hadoop on the cluster, you will need to download Hadoop 0.13.1 to install locally on your development environment.

Eclipse Plugin

While you're welcome to develop in other platforms, we recommend using Eclipse with IBM's Eclipse MapReduce plugin. The appropriate version of the plugin is distributed with hadoop 0.14.1, and can be found separately here. To install, simply extract the contents into your eclipse/plugins directory.
