Tasks
1. Work through Quick Start (Palm
OS-Win).pdf also found on lab machines at
C:\Program Files\Metrowerks\CodeWarrior\Quick
Start (Palm OS-Win).pdf
To set up the emulator
you'll need two files: roms.zip. Unzip, and place in:
C:\Program Files\Metrowerks\CodeWarrior\Palm
Tools\Palm OS Emulator\
These are ROM images
needed by the Palm emulator.
(Check first, someone
may have done this already.)
2. Be familiar with CW_Palm_OS_Tutorial.pdf also
found on lab machines at:
C:\Program Files\Metrowerks\CodeWarrior\CodeWarrior
Manuals\MW Tutorial For Palm OS\
3. Here is a project file for a Palm serial-chat program. Download and unzip it,
and compile it and run on the emulator.
You should also be able to run it on
your PDA. Try talking to another group's PDA.
There is no check-off or hand-in for this lab-- just do
it-- you'll be glad you did next week.
