CSE 456 - Story for Digital Animation

CSE456 Story for Digital Animation is offered to introduce students to the basics of animation principles and production as they relate to story development and design. An analysis of award winning CG animated shorts and a review of the CG pipeline will be covered in this class. Emphasis of the class will be on the design, development, and production of story reels --- a tool for the pre-production of animated features and shorts. Students will also use authoring tools to design motion and look and feel for their final reels. Emphasis will be on designing the most imaginative, clear, efficient and elegant story and accompanying storyreel possible in order to communicate most effectively with the audience.
