 BEAT DESCRIPTIONS

ACT I

1

School of fish is swimming around, including Spot who looks a little different from the other fish.

Rest of school start to swim a loop-de-loop through a rock hole and Spot follows their lead.

Spot sees bubbles coming out of the top of a rock that the other fish are spitting pebbles at (to make barnacles clamp shut).

Spot, looking uneasy, taps on a nearby fish and points to the bubbles.

ACT II

The other fish waves dismissively at the bubbles, pointing instead at all the other fish who are having fun spitting pebbles, then picks up a pebble and joins back in.

Spot picks up a pebble and swims up to the rock with it.

An eye opens on the rock.

A terrified Spot drops the pebble.

ACT III

Spot, looking frightened, taps frantically on a nearby fish and points to the eye.

The other fish waves dismissively at Spot and resumes spitting pebbles.

Spot starts swimming away from the large creature (which is a whale).

The whale starts chasing the rest of the fish and Spot who is ahead of them veers off and hides behind some coral.

The whale spins around quickly, smacking all of the fish (except Spot who is hiding) with its tail and causing them to spin off in all directions.

The stunned fish float derelict for a second and one by one come back to their senses.

The next day, Spot is swimming along with the school when the fish are attracted by something shining in a rocky trench.

Once they get close to the opening, Spot focuses on the dangerously spiky rocks in the trench.

Spot tries to show them to a couple of fish near him, but they just motion to him to keep going.

Spot waits on his own as the other fish swim into the trench.

The other fish return, nursing their injuries.

Spot winks at the camera and iris out.
