ACTS	SEQ	BEAT DESCRIPTIONS
I	1	WS of the outside of Yao’s house. A dragon goes by. Titles overlayed.
	1	Yao sets the table.
	1	Yao prepares a large amount of food.
	1	Yao over-uses spices, tasting it and reacting.
	1	Yao dumps flower petals all over the floor.
	1	Yao primps in the mirror, changing his hair style repeatedly. Photo of Yao floating above the ground with Mei is by the mirror.
	1	He hears a knock at the door.
II	2	He opens the door for Mei and she notices that his hair is screwed up and she smoothes it.
	2	He pulls out a chair for her and seats her at the table on a terrace.
	2	He brings her the appetizer, and she smiles. She takes his hand so he sits down and points out the fireworks to him.
	2	He grabs a single firework and sticks it in the food.
	2	She nervously laughs.
	2	She tries the food and it’s too spicy and her eyes get red as she eats politely.
	2	They finish the food and when Yao leaves to get the next course, Mei gulps down water.
	3	He brings in main course, and it has more fireworks than the last.
	3	She looks alarmed and eats a few bites. Then she pushes the dish aside, and leans in to kiss Yao. Yao’s eyes follow the dish and he doesn’t notice Mei’s advances.
	3	He runs into the kitchen and gets dessert.
	4	He brings in a cake completely covered by fireworks.
	4	He lights the first firework on the cake. She puts her hand on his shoulder in fear and he directs her attention to the fireworks.
	4	The rest of the fuses on the fireworks are lit by this one.
	4	The cake blows up.
	4	The smoke clears and Mei is completely blackened and Yao has black spots.
	4	Mei gets very angry, smashes cake in Yao’s face and storms out. Cake drips down his face.
III	5	Yao is in front of Mei’s door with a huge pile of flowers. Because of the flowers, he must ring the doorbell with his foot.
	5	Mei opens the door and looks worried.
	5	Yao sees her reaction, and tosses all but one flower away and hands it to her.
	5	Mei accepts the flower and she gives him a kiss.
