Studio Design

The studio design part of this course is meant to inspire your creativity, allow you to flex your design muscles, and give you a chance share your own designs in class. The assignments should be rather lightweight and fun. Lo-fidelity techniques such as paper prototyping, sketching, etc. are encouraged (though you're welcome to go further with a design if you have the time). You are expected to lead a short (~5 minute) discussion about your design in class on each due date. Thus, the designs should be posted online in your student directories before class.

Most of these assignments will be based off of the book Universal Principles of Design by William Lidwell, Kritina Holden, and Kill Butler. Relevant excerpts will be scanned and posted online (as a restricted reading link).
