Frederick P. Brooks, Jr. (Note: the book store is having trouble getting copies. It is available from Amazon (or even eBay)). Course project: The course project will be based on (but not restricted to) the MIT GizmoBall project. Project details will be available the first week of the course. This will be a group project, with groups planned to be of size between 6 and 8 students.
