Eric Fan

Hi there! I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from UW and just obtained a master's degree in Computer Science in the Allen School. Outside of teaching, I enjoy serving at my local church, playing badminton, and playing songs on my guitar and piano. I have a pet dog named Nemo, a small, white fluffy Bichon Poodle, who has been a joy of a companion. Feel free to reach out about my journey as an Allen School student, a book I've published about inclusion in computing education, or anything else you may want to chat about!

Teaching Assistants

Ghislaine Ng

Hello! I'm currently a senior and will be graduating this spring so you can ask me about any CS classes that I have taken before or anything else! I enjoy painting and hanging out with friends during my free time. It will be my fourth time TAing this class and I can't wait to get to know everyone!

Preston Rivas

I’m currently a third-year student and I can’t wait to be your TA for CSE 390B! I grew up in La Conner Washington, which is about an hour north of Seattle, but I was born in San Diego, California. When not doing schoolwork, I enjoy running, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding and hammocking (if you know any cool spots around UW to hang a hammock let me know!). I’m also a big fan of indie music and especially love listening to Peach Pit. If you find yourself stuck don’t hesitate to reach out for help! I’m always willing to lend a hand, even if it’s something not related to CS/UW!

Somethings I like to do are cooking and baking, eating ice cream, watching scary movies, kayaking (even though i can’t swim lol), and going out and exploring with my friends. I also have a pet fish! this will also be my first time TA’ing and I am so excited to meet you all! please do not hesitate to reach out and feel free to talk/ask me about anything!

Ray Li

Hi, I’m currently a second-year CS student who’s TA-ing for the first time this quarter! I was born and raised just 15 minutes north of Seattle, so UW has been basically home much of my life. Outside of school, I enjoy finding food spots and spending time outdoors, with ultimate frisbee being my most recent hobby! In addition to classwork, feel free to ask me about classes to take, sports, or anything random for a chat!
