Announcements

11 December. This is a reminder that the final exam will be given on Friday morning, Dec. 13 from 8:30-10:20 AM in our regular classroom, MGH 231. Bring a standard answer sheet ("Scantron form") and some number 2 pencils. Be sure to have studied the example programs linked from the Quizzes and Exams page before the final. Also note that there is a list of some specific topics to study (in addition to topics previously listed for Quiz 1 and Quiz 2) posted there, too.

6 December. The peer evaluation form we will use on Monday can be previewed here. Each student is required to turn in at least two evaluations of other groups' projects, and each team is required to obtain at least two evaluations of its own project. Each group also needs to have at least one instructor evaluation (by the instructor or a TA) done.

6 December. An online version of the Scheme code for the in-class exercise today is given here.

18 November. The Rhythms2 applet is here. Also available is its source code.

15 November. Here is the applet we created during our special Java session today at 3:30 PM: the web page with the executable applet, and the Java source file. For instructions on putting web pages on a server, see Creating and Publishing Web Pages at the UW Computing and Communications site.

8 November. The second quiz has been (re)scheduled for Thursday, November 21. Take the quiz during whichever section period you are officially registered for.

8 October. Each student in the course (with the possible exception of students who registered late) has an account on the INFACT system. Prior to section meetings on Thursday, try logging into your INFACT account and then set your preferences for the automatic grouping algorithm for Assignment 2 teams. To log in, set your browser to the INFACT login page for our class and then enter your UWNetID as your login name, followed by your UW student number as your password. Once you are logged in, you can change your password to something that you can remember that nobody else is likely to guess.

4 October. Today my (Steve's) office hour will be 11:30-12:30 instead of the usual 2:30-3:20. Also, on Monday, Oct 7, I will be off campus and not holding my office hour.

30 September. Welcome to CSE 341!

30 September. Each student should join the class mailing list. To do this, send a message to cse341-request@cs.washington.edu with the subject line
subscribe
Then when you receive an email message requesting confirmation, simply reply to that message. You should then receive an actual confirmation of being subscribed.
