WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? WHAT WAS YOUR ACADEMIC PATH? I was born in San Diego California and moved up to Federal Way, Washington when I was 6 and have been here ever since! I’m currently studying a double major in computer science and Social Work and will graduate in 2019! (hopefully?) WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST EXPOSURE TO COMPUTER SCIENCE? Prior to college, I never had any exposure to computer science. I came into UW wanting to major in Aerospace Engineering but I took CSE 142 to explore the potential of doing computer science as a major. It turned out that I loved the class and had tons of fun doing the assignment as they were very interesting and intellectually stimulating. WHAT GETS YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT COMPUTER SCIENCE? The potential to combine computer science with education excites me the most. I want to work on developing student technologies in the future for better student access to education. The amount of potential behind the applications of computer science in education is extremely promising and is the thing that gets me most excited about computer science! WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES, TALENTS, AND SKILLS? Violin/Piano/Guitar Eating Basketball Super Smash Bros I am tall. HAVE YOU DONE ANYTHING REMARKABLE? HAS ANYTHING MEMORABLE HAPPENED TO YOU? During my senior year of high school I got to take a free trip to Japan to spend a week in school there.
